Ashley Taylor
Ashley is the founder of Born of Ashes LLC, and her path into integrative psychology started long before beginning any of her formal training.
For over a decade, she worked as a Wildland Firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service, working on engines, helicopters, and hotshot crews. She ultimately found her home at the McCall Smokejumper Base in McCall, Idaho.
After sustaining multiple injuries, she decided to leave her position and pursue a career that would allow her to give back to the community she called family.
Intending to become a smokejumper pilot, Ashley got all of her aviation certifications and ratings. She spent several years flying Twin Otters worldwide and eventually moved on, flying the Citation XL for a corporate charter company in Seattle, WA.
Even though Ashley's healing journey started in the physical body, she was exposed to many other concepts in yoga teacher training and meditation while recovering from surgery. These alternative practices helped her understand the need to heal the emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies, as well. She was exposed to neuro linguistic programming, inner child work, shadow work, and healing from generational trauma, which led her to seek additional education and training.
Eventually, she knew this was how she wanted to give back to the wildland fire and pilot communities or any individual experiencing mental and emotional stress from a demanding career.
Ashley is an Integrative NLP Coach and certified in the Ancient Hawaiian Healing Arts. She holds her certifications as a Master Practitioner in NLP(Neuro Linguistic Programming), MER®(Mental and Emotional Release), and Hypnosis with The Association for Integrative Psychology. Her hobbies are hiking, camping, snowboarding, and skydiving. She loves animals and enjoys traveling.
